Crytek has worked on great action games. In fact, their hit game FarCry is already being made into a movie. Now according to Kotaku, the chief executive officer of Crytek, Cevat Yerli has indicated that they are planning a movie on their recent first person shooter, Crysis.
Cevat Yerli said that FarCry had a B-movie story line but stated that there would not be any such problems with Crysis and the translation of the game to the big screen should be easier. Yerli explains, “A Crysis movie is definitely planned. We are in active talks already. I think we will close this topic before the end of this year.”
The chief executive of Crytek also spoke on FarCry and particularly the director. Uwe Boll is not a favorite with the gamers as most of the moves the German director has worked on have failed. But Yerli defended him by saying that though Boll’s movies were not good critically, financially they have been successful.
