First we had John Abraham, who was linked to the Prince of Persia movie, and then we had David K. Zandi. Now movie news website Latino Review has word that Academy Award-nominated actor, Jake Gyllenhaal could play the role of Dastan in the forthcoming Prince of Persia movie.
Disney is yet to deny or confirm whether Jake Gyllenhaal has been cast in the Prince of Persia movie. The film is expected to feature a lot of parkour but the complication is that Jake Gyllenhaal has hurt his ankle playing basketball. So if the rumor is true, it remains to be seen when will the filming of the movie begin?
Earlier, Jerry Bruckheimer had pointed out that the shooting of the Prince of Persia film would commence in the month of June. The Prince of Persia movie will have a lot of action and is expected to be very visually appealing. It would be interesting to see who will play the female lead if Jake Gyllenhaal is cast as Dastan.
