Now now, don’t be sad. We knew how excited all of you were when we reported earlier that John Abrahim could be considered for the Prince Of Persia movie but unfortunately for us that doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen but the good part is that an actual Persian (prince) is going to be a part of Prince of Persia movie.
IESB.net got some exclusive details on the casting report for the movie. The unanimous decision went in direction for David K. Zandi who is a motion picture executive, actor, champion equestrian, model, and honest to goodness Persian prince. One of the last male members of the Zand dynasty (1747 – 1779), David has also studied both fencing and Roman sword fighting in England, see any similarities (Pun intended!). The people polled choose him over the likes of Orlando Bloom, Cilian Murphy and Zach Effron (Surprisingly Johnny Depp was not considered for this poll). Even Sendhil Ramamurthy from the HEROES fame was considered but Zandi was the unanimous choice for a world wide audience. Just look at him! He resembles our favorite prince so much!
