Gore Verbinski Working on a BioShock Movie

The internet has been full of rumors about a BioShock movie. Now Variety is reporting that Take-Two and Universal have agreed to make a BioShock film.

According to the Cut Scene blog, Gore Verbinski will be directing and producing the BioShock movie. John Logan, who was the screenwriter for movies like Star Trek: Nemesis and Aviator will be adapting it. Gore Verbinski is in touch with Ken Levine about the characters and the things that Levine feels should be different in a film.

As for the portrayal of the Little Sisters in the BioShock Movie, Verbinski said, “I think we’ll go right up to the edge with the Little Sisters. I don’t want to soften it to the point where the core audience feels betrayed. At the same time, the gameplay is completely different than it will be for an audience watching.
