Looks like Ubisoft has taken a cue from 2K and Take Two, who will be releasing special editions of their respective games, BioShock and GTA IV. Ubisoft is all set to announce Assassin’s Creed Limited Edition. As the name suggests, there will be very few copies of this version.
Besides coming in a special tin packaging, Assassin’s Creed Limited Edition will feature bonus supplemental content items. It will also have a statuette of Altair, the main character of the game. Then there is the mini strategy guide and Penny Arcade comics. The LE will also contain Assassin themed short films along with the usual behind-the scenes, developer diaries, official trailers and other unnamed goodies.
Assassin’s Creed Limited Edition will release for the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360. The standard edition will cost $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2, 420) while the limited edition will come with a price tag of $69.99 (approx. Rs. 2, 820). As for the launch date, Ubisoft has said that the game will release later this year.
