There are not many game titles based on mechs on the Nintendo DS. Now video games publisher Atlus has announced a new turn-based strategy RPG warfare game. Called “Drone Tactics”, the title will let gamers command a team of colossal mecha insecta, as they take on the ruthless army of the Black Swarm

- Transported to an alien world, you find yourself in the middle of a great conflict. An army of evil Drones is on the march, threatening to obliterate the land of Cimexus. Its inhabitants now turn to you to lead them in battle against the Black Swarm. Each level offers new challenges, and taking full advantage of each Drone’s unique specialties will be the difference between success and defeat!

Drone Tactics has been developed in-house by Atlus and is expected to release for the Nintendo DS on March 25, 2008. It is good to see such a game on the DS, but it does make one wonder if Drone Tactics would also come on the Nintendo Wii.
