According to EA, this announcement builds on the strategy of partnering with proven regional operators to bring online games to Asia. In fact, just a while ago, EA had announced that it will be bringing Warhammer Online to the Asian segment.

Not only that, in 2006, when EA and Neowiz partners to launch EA Sports FIFA Online, the game was so well received, that in the game smashed all Online records in Korea. After enjoying this success, the two companies expanded their relationship in March 2007 to include the co-development of four more games, out of which ‘Battlefield’ happens to be the first EA franchise to be announced.

In Battlefield Online, gamers can expect to see enhancements that build on the rich community element that one sees in existing titles of the game such as social networking and clan support.
