Orcs & Elves II Mobile Phone Exclusive Game launched by EA and id Software

Orcs & Elves II Screenshots Electronic Arts announced the availability of the sequel to Orcs & Elves.

John Carmack, founder and technical director at id software said “Our third mobile title continues to polish and improve the game play experience that we pioneered with Doom RPG. The ability to bring out new and better products every year makes the mobile sector very exciting to be in.” Further on Travis Boatman, vice president of worldwide studios for EA Mobile said “This sequel builds on the innovation of the original game but adds advanced features and an improved gameplay experience. The first Orcs & Elves game was critically acclaimed on mobile and we recently worked with id Software to bring the game to another handheld device, the Nintendo DS. The fact that this series has transcended mobile devices says something about the strength of the franchise.”

Like the earlier version, Orcs & Elves is a first person fantasy role playing game. The game puts players into the shoes of a novice thief who is tasked with saving his village from impending doom and at the same time introducing new characters, quests and weapons for fans of the game. Gamers play as Valin, a thief who has stolen a legendary wand known as Ellon in order to save his town from an ancient enemy. Valin must then fight his way through caverns, foreign towns, and haunted forests in order to return to his under siege village before its too late. Gamers are in for an absolute treat with the introduction of new creatures, allies, and monsters as they explore the seven immense, interactive environments taking advantage of the new graphical effects, an original score and unique features created specifically for Orc s& Elves II. Orcs & Elves II is a game that would keep you engrossed for hours on like its predecessor

The game is now available on most wireless carriers in North America and will be available in Europe in early 2008.
