Undertow for XBLA Releasing in November 2007

Earlier this year, Chair Entertainment had announced a new undersea battle game for the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA). Now they have sent word that Undertow will release for the XBLA on November 21, 2007. The game includes a 15-level single-player mode along with a co-op campaign with two multiplayer modes for up to 16 participants.

Donald Mustard is the co-founder of Chair Entertainment. He says, “We are taking next gen tech, Unreal 3 and the power of the Xbox 360 and applying it to these more simple or even more old school game designs. We don’t have a lot of 2Ds or side-scrollers anymore. Right when we got to the epitome of 2D game design, the PlayStation came out. It’s kind of been dead for the last 15 years, and now we can take a lot of those design points that were around at that time and apply really awesome next gen stuff to them and really make some incredible games for $10. It’s going to be awesome.”

Undertow will cost 800 Microsoft Points or $10 (approx. Rs. 390) on the Xbox Live Arcade. The game is powered by the Unreal Engine 3 and by the looks of it, Undertow could offer Xbox 360 gamers, an experience similar to BioShock, but the only difference will be that the it will be on XBLA.
