Just a couple of months back THQ revealed the next title in the acclaimed Red Faction series dubbed as Red Faction: Armageddon was in development at Volition. The title was previously perceived to hit the PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in March next year. Well, it appears that this date has been further pushed back. The company now discloses that Red Faction Armageddon will unveil two months later in May 2011.
“THQ’s creative organization is delivering a strong pipeline of core game franchises scheduled for release over the next several years, positioning THQ for significant net sales, earnings and cash flow growth. We continue to execute on our plan to deliver great games, market them aggressively and release them in the most advantageous windows,” commented THQ President and CEO Brian Farrell.
Besides this revelation, THQ also announces its core games release schedule in fiscal 2012. Gamers can expect to see MX vs. ATV Alive arrive onto the scene in spring next year while the summer is scheduled to welcome Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The titles WWE and Saints Row are slated to release by autumn 2011. The company finally discloses that UFC Winter would only make its appearance in the gaming terrain in 2012.
THQ has however stated that the above mentioned release dates of the upcoming titles are subject to change.
