The PixelJunk game lineup which includes Monsters, Racers, Eden and Shooter will soon be available for just $1. In order to commemorate ten years of Q-Games and PixelJunk’s fifth anniversary, the company has introduced this limited-time offer. Besides the aforementioned titles, the cost of PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe for PSP as well as PixelJunk Shooter 2 and PixelJunk SideScroller have been reduced by half.
The first title namely, PixelJunk Racers can be played with up to 7 gamers simultaneously. It includes various fun features such as trophies for completing varying difficulty levels like ‘professional drivers only’ and ‘pick up as you play,’ Ghost Attack rival and friend battle as well as Driver Points. The PixelJunk Monsters game was unveiled across the PS3 and PSP terrains nearly five years back. It’s filled with different creature types like Pine Cone, Sycamore and Spider and enables players to pick up items such as Remote mines and Speed potions.
PixelJunk Eden released for PS3 and PC back in 2008. Here, players must find and collect the required number of Spectra which will breathe life into their home garden and help the plants to grow. While 1 pollen is looked upon as 1 point, a Spectra amounts to 10,000 points. Other attributes in Eden include remote play, video recording and the trophy system. In PixelJunk Shooter, up to 2 players can control their own vehicles as they plunge deep into the planet in order to rescue the survivors. They must however, steer clear of dangers like ice, magma, poison gas and foes strewn along the way.
Along with the price slice, Dylan Cuthbert, president and executive producer of Q-Games also announced on the official PlayStation blog, that the special ‘PixelJunk 4am’ will be unfurled across the PS Store on May 15, 2012. Meanwhile, eager beavers can get their hands on all the discounted PixelJunk games when they go live starting today afternoon with the PlayStation Store update. The sale is slated to run only for a week after release.
