The fourth major title PixelJunk Shooter hit the PlayStation Store late 2009 in North America and Europe. The title unfurled across the PS3 gaming console and fell under the multi-directional shooter genre. The first complete sequel to any PixelJunk game was announced back in May last year.
Now according to the official PlayStation blog, PixelJunk Shooter 2 is slated to unleash across the PlayStation Network on March 1, 2011. Developers Q-Games further revealed that the previews of the same would also be available shortly. The upcoming title features more ‘gushing liquid action’ when pitted against the original game.
As the blog suggests, there is a trio of entirely new worlds as well as a new game complete with the online versus mode. This inclusion offers more than 20 weapons and abilities with which players can attack foes. The company discloses that the delay of the game was due to the precise formation of the latter.
The game is now approved for release and can be acquired early March through the PlayStation Network. The exact pricing details are not disclosed as of now.
