Alien Breed 2: Assault is the second installment in the Alien Breed series with the top-down action-frenzied game Alien Breed: Impact being its predecessor. The game’s developer and publisher Team 17 has now announced the release of Alien Breed 2: Assault which reboots the franchise for PS3.
The riveting sci-fi arcade-shooter features an epic story where players battle through flocks of highly intelligent alien enemies and finely detailed environments. Players govern Theodore Conrad, Chief Engineer aboard the Leopold, and fight through a mysterious spacecraft that is discharging menace which terrorizes Conrad’s vessel. Alien Breed 2: Assault features a new ‘Survivor’ mode where players alone or along with a friend can fight for their life in an arena-style gauntlet across online or local setting.

The single-player experience is reported to be equally intense and thrilling with new set pieces and boss battles that are to be encountered in the depths of the alien craft. The game invites players to venture into the invading ship with ‘guts and nerves of steel’ to fight the enemies at their doorstep, all rendered superbly in Unreal Engine 3 technology.
