World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Now Available

The wait for all World of Warcraft fans comes to an end as Blizzard releases of one of the most awaited expansion packs for its popular game. Word is official that World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion for the subscription-based massively multiplayer online RPG has hit retail stores across Europe, North America, Russia, Chile, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, and is scheduled to be delivered via retailers across the Hong Kong, Macau, the regions of Taiwan and Korea starting December 9, 2010.

“Cataclysm adds an incredible amount of new content for players to explore, revitalizing the game world and building on everything we’ve learned since World of Warcraft launched over six years ago,” commented Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We thank all of our beta testers for helping make this our best expansion yet, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone in the new Azeroth.”

The corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing returns in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm while the world reforms by the wreckage that it leaves. Two new playable races, worgen and goblins, join the ongoing struggle between the Alliance and the Horde to effort saving the planet-shattering cataclysm. Extending the level cap up to 85, Cataclysm offers newly revealed locations, acquire new levels of power and confront Deathwing in a deadly encounter to determine the world’s destiny.

Players can grab a digital download of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm from the official Battle.net account management for at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,793), or they can purchase the expansion for Windows and Mac from across retail stores all over. Reportedly, a special Collector’s Edition including bonus items is also available exclusively from retailers.
