The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to Receive Kinect Support

Gamers who always wished to see magic unfold each time they yelled ‘Fus Roh Dah’ at their screens, can brace themselves as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be getting Kinect Support later this month. Bethesda has announced that these functions will be doled out to all Xbox 360 owners in the form of a free title update.

Over two hundred voice commands are said to be included in this update. And these also cover dragon shouts. Moreover, throughout the game, actions like hotkey equipping, follower commands and all menus (items, magic, map, barter, container, favorites and skills) will be accessible using the Kinect functionality. Players will even be able to quickly create and load saves during gameplay, apart from accessing menus and inventories.

Bethesda Game Studios has been hard at work on creating the first set of game add-ons that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. This additional content will add new quests, locations, features, and much more to the world of Skyrim. Stay tuned for more details,” read a post on Bethesda’s official blog.

This Kinect feature for Skyrim also introduces a new trait that enables gamers to access special map functions and additional hotkey options as well as to sort their inventory items by name, weight and value. The title was released in November last year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Read our Skyrim review to know more about the much loved offering.

As we mentioned above, Kinect support for the Xbox 360 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be dished out through a free title update later this month.
