This week, Nintendo has introduced more downloadable games on the Wii Shop Channel and the Nintendo DSi Shop, as part of the Nintendo USA Download. Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa has been announced for the Virtual Console. Water Warfare, Reel Fishing Challenge and Silver Star Reversi have been released for the WiiWare service whereas Sudoku Master is available for DSiWare.
First up for WiiWare is the comical FPS Water Warfare. Here the player uses water guns to soak and battle opponents. Different themed maps such as Nature Park, Plaza, Beach and Playground, call for a new strategy to be employed every time the game is played. CPU Match, 2-Player Split Screen and Single Player Missions are available as gameplay modes. Users with broadband Internet access can battle with up to 8 players using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The game is published by Hudson Entertainment and priced at 800 Wii Points.
Second in line for WiiWare is Silver Star Reversi which features a single player as well as a 2 player mode. In the 1-Player mode, players can choose to square off against any of the five different computer opponents, whereas in the 2-player mode users can play against another person. Options to adjust sound effects and background scores, access help features, redo moves, save the game and resign are available in the game itself. The WiiWare game also features an option to review the moves after the end of a match from any point. Silver Star Reversi, developed by Agetec, is available for 500 Wii Points.
The third game for WiiWare is the single player Reel Fishing Challenge which allows gamers to experience the excitement of fishing in its mission and free play modes. There are many lures that can be used to attract very realistic looking fish. The game costs 500 Wii Points and is published by Natsume.
Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa has been introduced on the VC. The story of the game takes place ten years after Opa-Opa restores peace to the Fantasy Zone. Nenon planet forces are up to no good again, as they attack the planets in the Fantasy Zone. Now, Opa-Opa must again battle the evil forces to save the Fantasy Zone. The single player game is published by Sega and can be bought for 500 Wii Points.
Sudoku Master offers 150 unique puzzles to fans of the popular number brain teaser. The single player game has been released for the DSiWare service and even comes with a tutorial. The game also features tips from Sudoku legend Maki Kaji to help players hone their skills. All puzzles in this single player game have been created by Nikoli, and the game features Write Mode and Temp Numbers. The Title Mode allows players to make their way to the top of the Sudoku ranks and become the ultimate Sudoku Master. The game is published by Hudson Entertainment and can be purchased for 500 Nintendo DSi Points.
Nintendo DSi Points are available for purchase in the Nintendo DSi Shop while Wii Points can be bought in the Wii Shop Channel. The points are non transferable and cannot be divided between the two systems. Every Monday at 9 am Pacific Time, Nintendo adds new titles to the Nintendo DSi Shop and the Wii Shop Channel.
