The most recent announcement from Konami is that the company has made available two of its franchise titles on the App store. Konami has now introduced Silent Hill and DanceDanceRevolution S Lite exclusively for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch.
Finding their roots on the top selling franchises from Konami’s family, the Silent Hill and DanceDanceRevolution S Lite games have been particularly revamped to complement the iPhone’s functionality. The titles have been restructured with features that will help gamers take complete advantage of the iPhone’s intelligent Multi-touch interface. The games will also allow gamers to use the iPhone’s accelerometer to the best of its ability.
Anthony Borquez, Vice President of Konami Mobile and Online mentioned, “Konami Mobile is pleased to deliver some of our most beloved franchises to the iPhone while providing a range of gameplay depth that casual and hardcore gamers alike are sure to appreciate. Whether players are looking for a nail-biting survival horror experience or some music and rhythm, our lineup of iPhone titles promises to appeal to all consumers.”
Though the original gameplay of Silent Hill: The Escape has been left untouched, it is bundled with detailed graphics and other scary sound effects specifically for the iPhone. The game will allow gamers to go through various levels from an abandoned hospital to a cold subway. Equipped with a dull flashlight while fighting off monsters and faceless nurses, it is a shooter and a survival horror game. The game also packs in a gun which can be reloaded by skillfully tapping in bullets using the iPhones tilt sensor.
As for the crazy dance game DanceDanceRevolution S Lite, gamers can look forward to a really great experience. The game has been exclusively fabricated for the iPhone and iPod Touch and ensures gamers don’t miss a beat. The addictive music rhythm game enables users to take the role of 3D characters by simply tapping the arrows on the control pad as they appear on the screen.
