Here are a couple of rumors that have been floating wildly on the internet creating huge bouts of speculation:
1. Bioshock 2 in Development, 360 exclusive second time around as well to be shown off at GDC 2008 (Legit rating – 3/5)
Bioshock 2 is in development but an Xbox 360 exclusivity is a bit hard to digest. The game is going to be shown at GDC all right or at least the tech that’s powering the game.
2. Metal Gear getting a sequel on the Wii sans the “Solid” tag, related to events of Ghost Babel (Legit rating – 4/5)
Yup a Metal Gear Project is hitting the Wii. Konami won’t talk and outright deny the game till MGS4 is done and is on shelves. Ghost Babel was a non-canonical part of the series, so this part is pure speculation. The game is supposed to be less stealth/action and is different in order to cater to the masses than the hardcore.
3. Black 2 is in works (Legit rating- 5/5)
Duh!!! Ever heard of EA and non-milking franchises. Well both don’t go together. The game is being built on a modified “Burnout Paradise” engine.
4. Gears of War 2 a prequel (Legit rating- 3/5)
Like they say everyone always saves the best for the last.
5. Duke Nukem Forever hitting shelves this fall (Legit rating- 2.5/5)
Believe in Duke and he shall appear in front of thy eyes. I’ve been doing that since ’97. The game has come into the polishing stages but its 3D Realms after all.
6. Alan Wake at GDC 2008 (Legit rating- 4/5)
The rumor should have read something like this “Technology of Alan Wake at GDC 08”
