Those eagerly awaiting the HD port of Sega’s Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio, can start looking forward to next month, as the game is slated to begin rolling out on multiple platforms then. While the launch date and pricing information of its PS3, Xbox 360, PC as well as PS Vita versions has been revealed, its iOS and Android versions still remain without their official release dates.
The first gamers who’ll get to jump into this title are PS Plus subscribers. It will be made available to them on September 11, while other PSN account holders will be able to grab it for the PS3 from September 18 onwards. Following this, it will be heading to Steam and Xbox Live on September 19. And October 19 will mark the release of the title for the PS Vita.
“The day is finally here – the final final date announcement of Jet Set Radio! We have initiated this pirate broadcast to announce the release dates and pricing for Jet Set Radio!” a post on the official Sega blog read.
All these versions will be priced at 9.99 USD (approx. Rs. 550), with the XBLA equivalent of the amount being 800 Microsoft Points. Late last month, it was announced by Sega that the game will also be arriving via the App Store and the Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices, but the launch dates for these versions will be disclosed later on.
Jet Set Radio was first released for the Dreamcast in 2000, and this new version has been updated with HD graphics as well as some new tracks.
