Dead to Rights: Retribution Goes Gold

In February this year we reported that Dead to Rights: Retribution had been dated for the US and Europe. Now Namco Bandai sends word that Dead to Rights: Retribution has gone gold for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is a re-imagining of the 2002 action game Dead to Rights and features vice cop Jack Slate and his canine companion Shadow.

The two of them fight to uncover a conspiracy threatening to destroy Grant City. Gameplay in the new title is both brutal and relentless and the game features a seamless combat system allowing players to transition between third-person shooting, hand-to-hand combat and AI partner control.

Players can play as Jack with his seemingly limitless arsenal of tools, and at various points in the game switch to control of the ferocious canine, Shadow. The canine uses a totally different style of combat than Jack, stalking enemies with stealth abilities, and tearing them apart with visceral attacks.

Dead to Rights: Retribution is developed by Volatile Games and will be made available starting April 23, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Prices of the game are not known.
