Niftier Chainsaw Duel in Next Gears of War?

There can be no doubt on the fact that Epic Games are indeed hard at work crafting a sequel to one of the most successful IPs for this generation and we have managed to get a tiny piece of information that might be enough to shake up a COG fanatic. Our sources tell us one of the new mechanic that you might expect to see in the next iteration of Gears of War is changing the way you duel with opponents using the trusty Lancer.

There seem to be a number of modifications that are being made to the entire minigame making it actually worthwhile and more dynamic than in the previous Gears of War game. There seems to be a dose of “swing” being added to make the sequence a bit gorier than it was. This sequence was supposed to be put in the previous game itself but was chopped off due to time constraints, informs our source.

This mechanic seems to pack quite a wallop, even though there is no official word on the arrival of the sequel of the game it seems to be very well under production. Gears of War 2 had numerous expectations riding on it and the ultimate result was a disappointing campaign and a buggy multiplayer product which required to be patched numerous times for people to enjoy the experience. Hopefully the sequel will fill in all these voids and work towards improving and making the game a better experience to live with in the minds of gamers as was the original Gears.
