Video game developer Halfbrick Studios plans to spread the Xmas cheer by extending the Fruit Ninja Kinect Christmas DLC pack to the Xbox Live Arcade. The latest offering is set to bring forth heart-warming holiday themed content, as the company reveals. All things festive will roll across the dojo, complete with various exciting inclusions.
The Christmas DLC pack features delicious treats such as the joyful ‘Snow Globe’ silhouette, the snow-dusted ‘Santa’s Workshop’ and the sugary sweet ‘Candy Cane Blade’. All these items can be taken advantage of from the ‘Christmas Present’ segment found in the Sensei Swag menu, when players download the latest content.
“If Santa were a ninja — and we all know he really is — this is how he’d keep his skills sharp in the slow summer months,” commented Phil Larsen, chief marketing officer of Halfbrick.
Fruit Ninja Kinect claims to pluck the fruit-slicing action right from the popular mobile game, and endow the same addictive gameplay to the Xbox 360 version. Since the title fully exploits the motion-sensor features of the Kinect, gamers can attack various types of fruits by simply swinging their arms and legs in a wild chopping frenzy. Furthermore, there are a number of local multiplayer modes offered to Xbox 360 owners. They can either challenge each other or join forces to dice and slice an unending flurry of flying fruits while evading perilous bombs.
The Fruit Ninja Kinect Christmas DLC pack can be purchased from the XBLA absolutely free of cost. The game can also be downloaded from the same place for a limited time price of 800 Microsoft Points or 10 USD (approx. Rs. 542) for the Xbox 360 console.
