After Burner Climax is an arcade combat flight game that flew into the scene back in 2006. It is also the fourth title in the series and sequel to the acclaimed After Burner titles. Sega Europe Ltd. reveals that After Burner Climax can now be downloaded from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade for consoles.
The game offers players a host of licensed planes from the North Grumman Systems Corporation as well as the Boeing. They can take flight with offerings such as the F-14D Super Tomcat, F/A-18E Super Hornet and F-15E Strike Eagle. All these planes and others can all be personalized by opting from four different skins like camouflage, low visibility, standard paint and special paint.
After Burner Climax hits the gaming arena with more than 20 stages where players must traverse through a branching storyline while evading enemy fire. The game also comprises of various modes such as Training, Arcade, Climax, EX Option and Score Attack. Through online leaderboards, gamers can show off their skill levels to friends. Exclusive to the XBLA are also unlockable Avatar awards and Icons.
After Burner Climax can be enjoyed on the Xbox 360 and PS3 gaming consoles.
