The Summer of Arcade campaign has been designed specifically to provide fans with the best games possible. Now, we have word that Splosion Man will release on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow as part of the second annual Summer of Arcade program. The program is all set to present gamers with five of the most coveted downloadable XBLA titles.
Splosion Man is a humorous platform game which tells the story of Splosion Man who was born in an underground lab. The exploding hero is made up of fire and plasma and can ‘splode’ at will and turn anything in his path to steaks. The action game features an impressive 50 multiplayer and 50 single player levels. The game has had the distinction of winning many Best of E3 awards including the Best Downloadable Game and Best Platformer award.
Apart from Splosion Man, 4 more games will be released in the coming few weeks as part of the program. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will release on July 29, 2009 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-shelled will be available on August 5, 2009. Trials HD is expected to be released on August 12, 2009 whereas Shadow Complex will be out on August 19, 2009. These 4 upcoming games will all be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points each.
Splosion Man is developed by Twisted Pixel Games and will be available on XBLA from tomorrow, July 22, 2009 for a price of 800 Microsoft Points. In order to play online multiplayer, Xbox Live Gold membership is required.
