Thirty years after Walter Hill propelled the scruffy gangs of New York City into the spotlight, the cult action-thriller film ‘The Warriors’ is being made into an Xbox Live Arcade game. The game will be coming to the Microsoft online store this summer.
The Warriors will be released in conjunction with a new comic book series in honor of the thirtieth anniversary of the film, and will centre around the 1979 film’s much rooted-for gang and their rivals. The Warriors’ thirtieth anniversary will be ushered in with the release of other products and entertainment.
The Warriors is being published by Paramount Digital Entertainment and is completely different from the 2005 Rockstar Toronto game of the same name. The game will be released in the form of a download and is set to be released in the summer of 2009 and so far no price has been announced.
