Military Madness: Nectaris coming to XBLA in September

Hudson Entertainment has announced the release date for the Xbox Live Arcade version of Military Madness: Nectaris. The turn-based strategy game is in development for WiiWare, the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade. The title will feature the same strategic gameplay as in the original, but there will also be 3D graphics and much more added to boost the title.

“Military Madness has been running covert ops for years, but now it is back for gamers everywhere to enjoy,” commented Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Digital Download at Hudson Entertainment. “We think a new generation of console players will enjoy the battle-hardened strategy in this game.”

Players will be able to compete in the game’s four player online team and vs. multiplayer modes, playing 2v2 or even 1v1v1v1, with the multiplayer maps designed to be balanced for 2, 3, or 4 players. There is even a multiplayer specific Commander unit which is hailed as the most strategic element on multiplayer. Players can spend points to improve friendly units, or even ones that disrupt enemy units and to improve their Commander unit’s abilities.

Military Madness: Nectaris forces players to strategize and take advantage of terrain conditions to outdo and outsmart the enemy. The game is expected to be released on September 30, 2009 on the Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points.
