Some three years ago, a puzzler known as Meteos debuted on the Nintendo DS. The game was well received by the gamers as well as the critics and also got many awards. It had great gameplay. Now Q Entertainment has sent word about Meteos Wars, a game for the Xbox Live Arcade.
So what can gamers expect from Meteos Wars XBLA? Well, the game will feature more than twenty planets, each having its own alien race. It gets an audio and visual facelift plus there are new special techniques as well as ‘Planet Impact’ special attacks, Armageddon, Gambit, Sentinel and Tempest.
As for the gameplay modes of Meteos Wars, the puzzler has an assortment of single-player modes like Mission Mode, Attack Mode and Vs. Mode. Attack Mode features three challenges, the 1-minute attack, 100-Meteo attack and the Challenge attack. Coming to the multiplayer modes of the game, it takes full advantage of Xbox Live and has Matching Vs. Mode. Gamers can even take on a friend in the Local Vs. Mode.
Meteos Wars for the Xbox Live Arcade will be developed and published by Q Entertainment. The action-puzzle game is expected to be out in October 2008 and will cost 800 Microsoft Points. It will also have all new accessories as gamers can collect them for their aliens after clearing certain objectives.
