Pikmin is noted to be a RTS video game series fashioned by Nintendo. Although released for the GameCube console, Pikmin and Pikmin 2 were later unveiled on the Wii. It now appears that Pikmin 3 is surely a reality and is currently underway.
The Official Nintendo Magazine UK disclosed on Twitter, “Miyamoto just told us Pikmin 3 development is ‘well under way’.” With this revelation, it seems like a third iteration to the acclaimed Real-time strategy game would unleash soon. Pikmin 3 is also reportedly under development for the Nintendo Wii gaming system.
Miyamoto disclosed the above information when he was in London to receive his BAFTA fellowship award. He is renowned for creating various acclaimed games in the past such as Donkey Kong, Mario and The Legend of Zelda. The Pikmin series kick started with the introduction of the first Pikmin game which hit the scene in 2001 for the GameCube and later in 2009 for Wii. Riding high on the success of the original, Pikmin 2 released in 2004 and later for the Wii last year.
No official word yet on the official pricing and release dates of Pikmin 3.
