Sword of the Stars is a turn-based strategy game developed by Kerberos Productions and released in 2006. Now Kerberos Productions and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced the release date for the Sword of the Stars: Complete Collection, a collection which includes the original game and its expansions Born of Blood, A Murder of Crows, and Argos Naval Yard. The complete collection also includes a brand new scenario.
The game is set in the year 2045 and allows players to research more than 150 different technologies, play as one of four distinct races, design and build ships, and wield over 40 weapons from six different weapon groups. The first expansion adds over 90 new ships, 25 technologies, 15 more weapons as well as features such as slavery, diplomatic communications and trade routes. The second expansion, A Murder of Crows adds 27 technologies and 15 additional weapons as well as new scenarios and maps. The final expansion brings 19 new technologies, 10 weapons, three scenarios, and single player/multiplayer with co-op scenario maps.
Sword of the Stars: Complete Collection is set for a release on May 14, 2010 while the price has not been revealed.
