Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization for PC Introduced by 2K Games

Last year, we had reported about the Civilization Revolution game. But now Take-Two Interactive Software’s 2K Games has stated that a turn-based strategy game called as Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization is under development. It is nothing but a remake of Sid Meier’s 1994 game, Colonization.

Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization sees gamers play one of four European nations on a quest to conquer and rule the New World. They will be able to not only steer their people from the tyrannical motherland but also discover the New World as well as trade, fight and negotiate the natives and other nations. It blends the ‘one more turn’ gameplay of the original Colonization with all-new graphics and features. Gamers can expect a brand-new interface, improved diplomacy options and the included modding tools.

Sid Meier is the director of creative development at Firaxis Games. He quoted, “We have received many requests from fans over the years to bring back Colonization and now seemed to be the perfect time to do that. The Civilization IV engine provided a fantastic foundation for a new Colonization experience and allowed us to create something great for both new players and long time fans of the game.”

Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization is expected to be out for the PC in the fall season of this year. The turn-based strategy game will make full use of the Civilization IV engine.
