NBA Baller Beats Coming to Kinect for Xbox 360

The Kinect peripheral for the Xbox 360 will have yet another exclusive title in its kitty this fall, as the newly announced NBA Baller Beats is all geared up to release with its full body motion-based features. This game has been developed by HB Studios, and is said to test gamers’ ball handling skills, while they play to the beat of an eclectic soundtrack using a real basketball.

The title also allows gamers to play alongside their favorite NBA franchises, as they go on unlocking songs, difficulty levels and more than a hundred posters and trading cards displaying the greatest moves of NBA athletes. Paying heed to the music, players will be needed to showcase their handling skills, dribbling and baller moves with a real basketball. The Kinect will even track moves like crossovers, pump fakes, behind-the-backs, around-the-worlds and more. A single player mode, a Move School training mode as well as multiplayer modes with support for up to eight players will be seen making their way into the game.

Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer of Majesco Entertainment, quoted “NBA Baller Beats introduces an unprecedented way to experience basketball through a video game like never before. Our innovative play mechanic combined with Kinect technology puts the ball in players’ hands, tracking both full-body gameplay and ball movement, so players are going to have to get up and actually play basketball to get in the game. Ballers and fans alike will love this game.”

This title’s soundtrack includes music from across decades, and spans genres like hip-hop, rock and old school classics. Tracks from artists like Kanye West, Run DMC, Gorillaz, Them Crooked Vultures, Common and Tiesto have been confirmed to form part of NBA Baller Beats. Further details regarding the game will be revealed by Majesco Entertainment at this year’s E3.
