PES 2013 Confirmed by Konami

An ‘unprecedented’ level of control over the ball will apparently be made available for gamers with PES 2013 which is slated to release on multiple platforms during autumn of this year. Said to take the series back to its roots, this title is claimed to have laid emphasis on the individual skills of the world’s best players, and proffers players with freedom to play any style of ball.

The PES FullControl (PES FC) feature comes with three new traits that include Total Freedom of Control which provide gamers with complete freedom over how to manage the ball. PES FC also comprises Dynamic First Touch. It apparently introduces subtle ways to receive the ball, from traps, gently lifting it past an attacker and more such moves. The last feature from PES FC is called Full Manual Shooting and Full Manual Passing, and it supposedly provides gamers exactly what its name suggests.

“This is an exciting time to be part of the PES community, and PES 2013 marks a new level of playability with the return to our key ethos of utter control and freedom. Football is all about making magic happen with skill and precision, and PES 2013 truly encapsulates this. Fresh faces within the development team and some very exciting ideas will breathe new life into the PES series, and we look forward to showing what we can do in the coming months,” said Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader.

Other new additions that make their way into PES 2013 include improvements to the dribbling aspect, introduction of active one-two passes and response defending as well as enhancements to the goalkeeper mechanics. Besides these, there is the Player ID trait which focuses on the individual elements of players. We’ve also posted a debut trailer of the game which can be spotted above.

PES 2013 will be released by Konami in autumn of this year for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS2, PSP, 3DS and Wii.
