SSX Released for PS3 and Xbox 360

EA Sports’ latest outing, a reboot to its much loved series of snowboarding games titled SSX, is available now for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Earlier scheduled to be released two weeks ago, this new title had met with a delay due to technical reasons.

The game is being hailed by its maker to be the modern day reinvention of one of the most critically acclaimed arcade franchises of all-time. Familiar elements from the series, adrenaline-packed gameplay as well as new features will be seen making their way into this title. Gamers will get a chance to snowboard their way across nine well-known regions that are spread all over the world.

“We’re extremely proud to finally bring back the SSX franchise, one of the greatest wholly-owned IP franchises from EA Sports. We’ve built SSX with the latest technologies giving it a more modern look and feel, but everyone who has played it has agreed – this is 100 percent SSX at its core,” revealed Dean Richards, General Manager, Team & Action Sports, EA Sports.

Apart from single-player offerings, the game will also kick in online components in the form of modes like Explore, Global Events and RiderNet. A unique online pass has also been announced by EA to come bundled with copies of the title. Instead of barring players from accessing online features, this game allows them to access these modes, albeit without their character being rewarded with credits. Those who wish to receive these credits will be required to activate their online passes.
