The month of July played host to a couple of highly-awaited NBA 2K11 revelations. The official cover art featuring Michael Jordan was revealed while a few days back 2K Sports announced a new Jordan Challenge. If all these features haven’t caught the eye of basketball fans already, then the latest news surely would. The company has disclosed the complete ecstatic soundtrack for NBA 2K11.
The latest revelation will compliment the star Michael Jordan himself as the company claims that it will be the biggest soundtrack in 2K history. Players will be able to experience an eclectic mix of forthcoming breakout bands as well as well-known artists. The 29 tracks are belted out by Snoop Dogg, Drake, The Constellations, Kid
Cudi and Two Door Cinema Club among others. The Alan Parsons Project also hits the title with the Chicago Bulls’ intro song.
“NBA 2K is the basketball game that everyone plays, from NBA athletes to celebrities to music artists. Snoop has been a long time fan of the NBA 2K series and because music is such an integral part to the gameplay experience, it was a perfect fit for this year’s title – one of the greatest rappers making an exclusive track for the greatest NBA game,” commented Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. “With NBA 2K11 we hope to exceed expectations by featuring both an impressive array of established artists like Big Boi, Kid Cudi and Drake who definitely balance the hoop action, alongside emerging talent, such as the winners of our national MC/producer contest.”
