2K Sports has announced that Michael Jordan has been chosen as cover athlete for NBA 2K11. Jordan is a 14-time NBA All-Star, a five-time NBA Most Valuable Player, a six-time NBA World Champion. Considered the greatest basketball player by many, Michael Jordan has recently been inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame.
“It’s an honor to be featured on the cover of NBA 2K11,” Michael Jordan, current majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, commented. “I have no doubt that NBA 2K11 will be a big hit with gamers and basketball fans alike. I’m looking forward to getting back out onto the court, virtually. Let’s hope they get my dunk from the foul line right.”

NBA 2K11 builds on the hugely successful NBA 2K franchise adding improvements to graphics, gameplay, game modes, and signature styles of the players. 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11 is scheduled for release on October 5, 2010.
