Skate 2 based on Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory Announced by EA

EA has announced that they will extend the Skate 2 experience with the release of the downloadable content, Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Plaza. The DLC focuses on Rob Dyrdek’s new skate plaza and the surrounding LA area. Rob Dyrdek’s new skate plaza makes up the centerpiece of the Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory MTV show.

“I’ve been involved with the Skate franchise since the very beginning and each game has been able to perfectly capture the culture and feel of skateboarding,” remarked skateboard enthusiast and American professional skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek. “I can’t wait to give players a taste of the Fantasy Plaza, my dream skateboarding space. The team at Black Box has recreated the plaza in Skate 2, complete with all the ledges, gaps and rails. On top of all that, there’s still a lot more surprises outside the park that both gamers and skaters will enjoy.”

Skate 2 takes players to New San Vanelona, which contains more places to roll out on your own. Gamers can now change or modify the spots they want to skate in by getting off the skateboard and moving objects around in the environment. The game also has an overhauled Thrasher Hall of Meat mode which is said to “have players spending countless hours pulling off bone-crushing wipeouts and bails,” according to the release by EA.
