FIFA Manager 10 to Have Online Mode

FIFA Manager 10 is the next installment in the incredibly addictive FIFA Manager series. Although much is not known about this yet-to-be-released title, fans are eagerly lining up in anticipation of the football management game. We now have word that FIFA Manager 10 will feature, for the first time in the series’ history, an online mode allowing gamers to play against others online or through LAN.

Gerald Köhler, Lead Designer of the FIFA Manager series, commented, “We’re incredibly pleased to be able to give fans what they’ve been asking for with the new online mode in EA Sports FIFA Manager 10. This is the first time that they will be able to compete against each other and really find out who’s the best manager. The online mode is free and you can play at least two seasons with up to eight players in one session.”

Having worked on the feedback received from fans of the series, there have been over 400 improvements made in the offline mode and the game will contain up to 40 international leagues. Some of the key enhancements include the development of more complex AI while stress was also laid on financing, player development and in-game presentation.

The simulation game has a manager diary where gamers can store player, cup and stadium photos and the new stadium infrastructure addition allows users to look after their facilities. Also, the new FIFA World Player Gala, a directory for team photos and squads, and a revamped game website are some of the other improvements.

The 3D mode, based on the FIFA 09 animation system, boasts of several hundred new animations. Resolutions of up to 1920 by 1200 can be supported by the game whereas the player’s manager desktop will be able to hold more than 50 objects and up to 30 widgets. The game’s database consists of more than 31,000 players from over 3,600 clubs and has more than 9,000 original player pictures.

FIFA Manager 10 is developed by Bright Future and features fully licensed data of the various leagues included, and player and club data from across 40 countries. The game will be released for the PC this autumn, while exact dates and prices have not been mentioned.
