One of the interesting trends that has emerged in the last few years is that gaming companies have roped in stalwarts of the sports world and made games centered around them. Now Ubisoft has sent word about a new game called as Shaun White Snowboarding.
Tony Key is the senior VP of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. He commented, “Shaun White Snowboarding will turn all of the traditional ideas and experiences of past action sports titles upside down. The amalgamation of Ubisoft’s innovation approach and the influence of Shaun’s lifestyle and perspective make this gaming experience like no other.”
The next generation console versions of Shaun White Snowboarding will be powered by the Assassin’s Creed. As for the Wii version of the game, it will not only have an unique storyline but also will fully exploit the Wii Balance Board. The game is expected to be out on the PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 as well as the PC versions.
Shaun White Snowboarding is being developed close collaboration with Shaun White. He has not only won gold medals at the X Games but also at the Olympics. The game is expected to have open-world mountains and gamers will be able to make their own paths in the back country and take on fellow riders in the terrain parks. Shaun White Snowboarding will be out in the holiday season of 2008.
