2K Sports has revealed the songs that will be featuring in the original soundtrack of their forthcoming game, Major League Baseball 2K7. The songs basically belong to the alternative rock genre.

Tim Rosa, 2K Sports Director of Brand and Lifestyle Marketing explains, “Producing this soundtrack was like making a mix tape for a friend, especially considering the profile of the artists and the quality of the songs. We always seek to offer the sports gaming community with a soundtrack that makes sense for the game they are playing, while also showcasing great artists above and below the fringe. We achieved that goal with Major League Baseball 2K7, so I’m really proud of this one.”
Major League Baseball 2K7 will release for the PS2, PSP, PS3, Xbox and the Xbox 360 on February 27, 2007. The GBA and Nintendo DS version will release later in the year. The music list looks great, but they should have added more artists like Creed and Audioslave.
