Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified to ship without any Zombies Mode

PS Vita owners eagerly awaiting Nihilistic Software’s Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified can shelve their hopes of getting into some undead action, as the game has been confirmed by its maker to not contain any Zombies mode. The series is known for its hefty multiplayer attributes, and that’s what ‘took priority’ over the Zombies mode, according to the developer.

As mentioned by Dan Amrich’s One of Swords blog, being the first Call of Duty game on the Vita, focusing on the series’ multiplayer is more important, as it is considered its core strength. This apparently, leaves no space for the Zombies mode to be accommodated. Out of the total three, this will be the first game under the Black Ops banner to not feature the said content.

Zombies were first introduced in any CoD title through 2008’s World at War. The first Black Ops game was released in 2010, and its excellent undead mode established an immense fan support for it. Hence, its second iteration, Black Ops 2, which is slated to arrive late next month, has been infused with a total of three Zombies modes.

Declassified was officially revealed at this year’s E3, and is scheduled to arrive for the PS Vita on November 13, 2012. Its story will feature events that transpire between to the two other Black Ops games. This title is being developed by Nihilistic Software, the same studio that gave us Resistance: Burning Skies earlier this year.
