PSP prices in India slashed, Now Available at under Rs. 8,000

Back in December last year, Sony launched its latest handheld console, the PSPgo in India. The gaming device forayed into the country tagged at a price of Rs. 12,990. Now further catering to Indian gamers who prefer to indulge in all their favorite titles while on the go, the company announces a new price point of just Rs. 7,990 for the Sony PSP. The offering will also include one free game entitled Street Cricket Champions.

This new price tag comes just in time for the summer holidays in India which is expected to increase its sales opportunity. During this course of time, the company reveals that the demand for gaming systems raises by nearly double. Moreover, the PSP looks at taking advantage of the cricket-loving nation by providing a free Street Cricket Champions title with the console.

The console’s new retail price point of INR 7990 and an attractive free game of Street Cricket Champions will make it an attractive buy this summer holidays for the Indian teenagers. ”

There are a host of games categorized under different genres that begin at Rs. 599 in India. Some of the titles available include LocoRoco 2, Need For Speed, Modnation Racers and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Through the PlayStation Network, gamers can join in and access various online content, services and games. The PlayStation Store offers players the ability to download games, PS one classics, trailers, free demos and add-ons.

Through the PSP, owners will not only be able to play video games but also enjoy music and movies while traveling or at home. The new retail price and offer of a free game is touted to begin from this month itself.
