After captivating Windows PC gamers with the Final Fantasy Collector’s Edition, Square Enix has now geared to offer an enriching treat for PSP owners. The publisher has announced that Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy will come next year to the portable console for players across Europe and other PAL territories.
The latin word, duodecim, in the title refers to the 12th battle which is said to continue the hostility between Cosmos and Chaos. In the game, a new storyline revolving around Chaos will be unleashed as players head to the battle while passing through several story missions. Taking this brawl to another level, the developer has infused RPG-style character development and customization.
“Fans demanded it, so we’re delighted to deliver, with a follow-up to the smash hit Dissida Final Fatasy. With more characters, missions, costumes and combat features, the world of Dissida just got a whole lot bigger,” beamed Larry Sparks, Vice President Brands PAL Region of Square Enix.
With both good and evil joining hands as allies, the title will enable gamers to immerse in new game modes, story missions, items, alternate costumes and combat features. The game is said to feature a New Assist Mode which can come handy for players to select an ‘Assist’ character.
Sequel to the earlier Dissidia Final Fantasy, this new chapter blends Beat ‘Em Up action with RPG depth. It has been stated that the title will boast of memorable heroes and villains including Kain from Final Fantasy IV and Lightining from the 13th chapter to dish out an exciting gameplay experience. It is expected to extend a grand scale fighting adventure on the PSP, expanding the horizons of the original series.
