PSP Version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II Axed

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed released back in 2008 by LucasArts. The Star Wars saga further continues with the sequel which was announced by the company back in December last year. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is slated to hit various platforms by October. There however seems to be some distressing news for PSP owners who are huge Star Wars fans.

Star Wars TFU 2

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II apparently will not release for the Sony PSP gaming console. As IGN reports, this information was disclosed to them by a LucasArts representative. However the company hasn’t yet offered any comments on the game being cancelled or whether it’s just being put on hold for now. Earlier the sequel was supposedly slated to unveil across the PSP by October 26, 2010.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is claimed to be the fastest selling Star Wars title with nearly seven million copies sold all over the globe. The sequel to this game divulges deeper into the epic story and this time, enables players to take on the role of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice known as Starkiller.

Although the game will not appear on the PSP, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is still being developed for other gaming systems including the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PC. It also looks like the only portable console that would receive the game in October would be the Nintendo DS.
