SCEA Divulges Newest Greatest Hits for Sony PSP

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has made an announcement in which the company has named a few of its newest games which have achieved Greatest Hits status for Sony’s PSP.

Best Selling PSP Games

This contingent of the 10 best selling titles, both first party and third party, will be available for purchase for a price of only 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,015) from April 5, 2009. The games included in the best selling hits are testament to the amount of distinctive and varied content available for the handheld platform. This is seen from titles like God of War: Chains of Olympus which suits hardcore gamers and Patapon which is targeted at casual gamers.

More than 100 titles for the PSP have been scheduled for release throughout 2009 including the PSP versions of franchises such as MotorStorm and LittleBigPlanet.

With this move, some of the Greatest Hits are available to PSP owners at a very reasonable and affordable price, and SCEA maintains commitment to distribute quality and value content to consumers. Here is the list of the PSP Greatest Hits in alphabetical order.

Fight Night Round 3 from EA.
God of War: Chains of Olympus from SCEA.
Medal of Honor Heroes 2 from EA.
Mortal Kombat: Unchained from Midway.
Patapon from SCEA.
Socom U.S. Navy Seals: Tactical Strike from SCEA.
Sonic Rivals 2 from Sega.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Yellow Avenger from THQ.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 from Ubisoft.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas from Ubisoft.

The Sony PSP was introduced in North America in 2005 and since then, 50 million units of hardware have been sold globally as of January 2009, and 200 million units of software have been sold worldwide as of December 2008.
