Hands-On Mobile unveils Bloons and Brainpipe

Hands-On Mobile brings to the scene two brand new titles dubbed as Brainpipe and Bloons. These games can be downloaded onto the PSP and PSPgo. The titles can be acquired and brought from the new ‘minis’ section located in the PlayStation Store.

Bloons is noted to fall in the puzzle genre and lets gamers take control of a dart-throwing monkey that aims at floating balloons in a load of various configurations. Players have to aim the monkey’s dart at the precise place. Once released, the dart will pop all the balloons in its wake. This depends solely on the angle and force by which the dart is thrown.

It gets more challenging as the game plays out. Bloons also dish out other items that will either hinder or damage the darts. The aim is to pop the minimum amount of balloons in order to finish the level. This all must be done by strategically avoiding these obstructions.

JJ Lechleiter, head of games, Hands-On Mobile commented, “We saw the launch of the PSPgo system as a great opportunity to release these two titles that mark our first venture into the hand-held market. The minis really stood out to us as an opening to make high quality games on a new platform and we’re excited to release these games that will have players mesmerized for hours.”

The main objective of Brainpipe is to transcend humanity. Gamers are plunged into the human mind as they travel through the tunnels while exercising sheer hand-eye coordination. They can also espy funkadelic sights as well as sounds of the inner person. Players have to make their way around obstacles while gathering up the lit glyphs. These obstacles must be avoided because if touched, gamers come one step closer to the darkness.

Players can espy 10 different levels complete with increasing difficulty and 8 obstacles which must be avoided at all costs. The game is packed with great 3D visuals. The levels of Brainpipe are fashioned by the very same acclaimed team that was associated with titles like Left 4 Dead and Half Life 2. According to the company, the game bagged the award for ‘Excellence in Audio’ at the 2009 IGF.

Both Hands-On Mobile offerings for the portable consoles namely Brainpipe and Bloons are rated E by ESRB.
