Dissidia Final Fantasy for PSP coming to Europe and PAL Regions: Square Enix

Dissidia Final Fantasy was released last year in Japan to mark the twentieth anniversary of the super successful Final Fantasy series. Now Square Enix has announced that the exclusive PSP action RPG will release in Europe and other PAL regions in September.

The game boasts of having the largest ensemble of characters ever in a Final Fantasy game. If that doesn’t get your attention, then the large scale, 3D game environments certainly will. Those who get tired of walking around in the game can glide through the air and also try smashing through walls while they are at it.

“With so many favourite heroes and villains contained in one game, Dissidia Final Fantasy is certainly going to appeal to fans of the series. The action-packed experience is a real showcase for the PSP and is set to become an instant classic on the system,” stated John Yamamoto, President and CEO of Square Enix.

Players find themselves in the middle of a heated battle between Chaos, the god of discord and Cosmos, the goddess of harmony. The balance has tipped in Chaos’ favour. So for how long the forces of harmony are able to hold out, is anybody’s guess. Featuring characters from the entire game series, the game allows players to share AI characters with others and even take part in virtual battles using their PSP.

A Limited Collector’s Edition will also be available at the time of launch, it will include Lithograph prints, special soundtrack CD, a 48-page hardback book containing game artwork and an official mini guide all neatly tucked away in a unique clamshell pack.
