LocoRoco 2 Confirmed, Details Emerge

Last month, we had reported that Sony Computer Entertainment UK had revealed that LocoRoco 2 for the PlayStation Portable would be out later this year. Now 1UP is reporting that LocoRoco 2 for the PSP has been confirmed and details have appeared in the latest issue of the Japanese games magazine Weekly Famitsu.

Tsutomu Kouno is the director of LocoRoco. He explained, “The Moja Troop are back with some new bosses, but this time they’ve also learned some songs. They’ve been practicing as hard as they can, and they’ve learned how to use music to sap the energy out of everyone. Now nobody feels like doing anything, so the LocoRoco have to go around the world and pep everyone back up again.”

LocoRoco 2 will let gamers run their characters into other enemies as the game goes on. Also, the sequel to LocoRoco will include a boss that has changed the creatures and put them under his control. He will then use these creatures to attack the LocoRoco. In the first game, gamers could just bite on the rope, but in this game, there will be more options.

No release date has been given for LocoRoco for the PSP by Sony Computer Entertainment but apparently the game is three-fourths complete.
