As revealed on the official PlayStation blog, SHAREfactory has been aimed at letting you spice up your clips before showing them off to your friends. Through your PS4, this app will allow you to add filters, transitions, themes as well as music to your clips. And that’s not all; everything from text and stickers to commentary and picture-in-picture videos are also made possible by the upcoming SHAREfactory application for the PS4.

Another important addition that is to form part of this update is the ability to pre-load digital games prior to their releases so that you can start playing them as soon as they’re out by simply unlocking them. It should be noted that SHAREfactory videos will be available to be shared on Facebook or moved to an external storage device. Furthermore, DIY capture will finally be making its way onto the PS4. Through FW 1.70’s HDCP-off option, it will enable high-quality video capture of games over HDMI.

This update for the PS4 will be made available by Sony soon, but there’s no proper release date to look forward to. We’ll make sure to inform you once it’s out.
