Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault release date pegged for November 27

For those who couldn’t get enough of the Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault beta, the release date for the final retail version has been set for later next month. What’s more, November 4, 2012, marks the 10th anniversary of the franchise which started off with the original Ratchet & Clank title being launched for the PlayStation 2 system.

The game was first announced back in May and as a treat for fans, the developer has re-introduced various elements from the classic series. They include a third person camera view, controls and weapons. In addition to competitive online modes, there’s even a split-screen co-op gameplay mode where players can work together and take on the role of Ratchet, Clank or Captain Qwark.

And if these aren’t enough, gamers will have a host of upgrades and character skins to choose from as well as unlockable content. The most recent roll outs from Insomniac Games include the Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One title which debuted little over a year back and Ratchet & Clank Collection. The latter game comprises of remastered HD ports from the original series for the PlayStation 3 which includes Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

Gameplay

The release date for the Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault game is scheduled for November 27. The title will be up for download through the PlayStation Store and even in the form of a physical copy through retail stores. Both options will carry a price tag of 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,074). Additionally, the official PlayStation US blog states that the title supports support cross-buy. This means that each purchase will include the PS3 version and a digital copy for the PlayStation Vita console.
