Those who log in to PSN on February 7, will be prompted to have a look at these new terms and conditions before accepting them and transforming their accounts into Sony Entertainment Network accounts. Some additions and changes that make their way into these agreements include new provisions for parents of minor, subaccount holders regarding the limitations of chat parental controls. Moreover, new terms explaining the location-based services that will be seen on the upcoming PS Vita would also be detailed in this agreement.

“This transition is based on Sony’s goal to enhance its unique digital entertainment offering. As a series of these activities Sony started last September, PlayStation Network will be aligned with “Sony Entertainment Network.” This helps us get closer to our goal of establishing a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account,” read an official statement by Sony.

The agreement will also comprise information about pre-ordering content as well as a description of Sony’s ‘What’s New’ section, which is touted to provide topical information about their services and advertisements. Gamers must note that this change will not, in any way, affect their usernames and passwords.

Starting tomorrow, all PSN accounts are set to get converted into Sony Entertainment Network accounts, but this change would only apply to the PS3 and PS Vita, and not the PSP.
